Terms of Service

By accessing or using the MODAL platform at logicmodal.xyz ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you are not prohibited from using the Site under any applicable laws or regulations.

The Site does not require traditional account registration. Access and participation are facilitated through cryptocurrency wallet connections (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana). You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. MODAL has no ability to recover lost wallet credentials.

MODAL operates a multi-chain auction system for digital art inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain. By committing funds to an auction, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Commitments are made by sending cryptocurrency to designated receiving addresses. Once a transaction is confirmed on-chain, it cannot be reversed by MODAL.
• Allocation of units is proportional to your effective contribution relative to all participants and is calculated at settlement using the Hamilton (largest-remainder) method.
• Exchange rates between chains (ETH, SOL, USDC) and BTC are determined at the time of commitment using live market data from third-party pricing services.
• Quest-based multipliers may affect your effective contribution. Multipliers are applied at the time of commitment and are not retroactively adjusted.
• Estimated piece counts shown during an active auction are projections and may differ from final allocations.

Art distributed through MODAL is inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain as Ordinals inscriptions. Ownership of an inscription is determined solely by on-chain records. MODAL makes no guarantees regarding the future value, liquidity, or marketability of any inscription.

All artwork distributed through MODAL is released under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero). This means the artwork is dedicated to the public domain — you are free to copy, modify, distribute, and use the art for any purpose, including commercial use, without permission or attribution. No intellectual property rights are reserved.

You may optionally connect third-party social accounts (Twitter/X, Discord) to your wallet address. These connections are used to verify quest completion and may affect auction multipliers. You can disconnect your social accounts at any time through the Site. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

You agree not to:

• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or connected networks
• Attempt to manipulate auctions through fraudulent transactions or sybil attacks
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Site without authorization
• Circumvent rate limiting, security measures, or access controls
• Use the Site for money laundering or any illegal activity

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. MODAL does not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of exchange rates or price estimates, or the security of third-party wallet software or blockchain networks.

Cryptocurrency transactions carry inherent risks including but not limited to price volatility, network congestion, smart contract vulnerabilities, and irreversibility. You assume all risks associated with your use of the Site and participation in auctions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MODAL and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, participation in auctions, or reliance on any information provided. This includes but is not limited to loss of funds due to incorrect wallet addresses, failed transactions, exchange rate fluctuations, or third-party service failures.

MODAL reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
